I was the art director and design lead at BerlinRosen for Marti Allen-Cummings’ 2021 run for New York City Council. The goal was to stand out in an extremely crowded primary field and emphasis the unique and historic nature of Marti’s campaign to be the first non-binary candidate elected to the New York City Council.

Marti already had a logo, but didn’t have formally established brand guidelines. I took inspiration from the colors and elements of their logo to build out a cohesive visual framework that could be replicated in print and digital. All materials were designed fully bilingual given the large population of Spanish-speaking constituents in Marti’s district.
